The central waiting list is operated by the Hungarian National Blood Transfusion Service (HNBTS) in collaboration with Transplantation Committees. Transplantation can only be provided for patients on the transplant waiting list. Transplantation Committees are in charge to make decisions for patient registration, regarding temporary ineligibility and removal from waiting list or any other issues affecting patients related to waiting list. They will inform the patient, the treating physician and the HNBTS about their decision in a written form. The Commission holds meetings as necessary, but at least once a month, in which at least half of its members are required to attend to constitute a quorum.
